Lessons

Lessons are offered in four-month semesters containing 14 weeks of lessons, with enrollment requiring a commitment to the full semester. Tuition is paid monthly and reserves the student's weekly lesson time for the duration of the semester. Students may enroll for the following semester at the conclusion of each term, with returning students receiving priority for their preferred lesson time.

Tuition is based on the student’s lesson length and the full semester commitment. Tuition for 30-minute lessons is $520 per semester, payable in four monthly installments of $130. Tuition for 45-minute lessons is $780 per semester, payable in four monthly installments of $195. Tuition for 60-minute lessons is $1,040 per semester, payable in four monthly installments of $260.

By enrolling, families commit to the full semester tuition, regardless of attendance or early discontinuation of lessons. Monthly payments are installments toward the total semester tuition and do not represent a month-to-month enrollment.

Tuition will be paid through autopay via bank ACH or credit card via Stripe on my studio's Nova Music platform. Payments are processed on the 1st of each month. 

A $30 late fee will be applied to missed payments. Tuition not received within 3 business days of the due date will result in the student’s lessons being suspended until the outstanding balance has been paid in full. 

Once a student enrolls for a semester, tuition is non-refundable, as the student’s weekly lesson time is reserved exclusively for them.

Because tuition reserves a student’s weekly lesson time for the entire semester, student cancellations and missed lessons are not eligible for refunds, tuition reductions, or make-up lessons. When a student is unable to attend an in person lesson, they may choose instead the following alternative:

• Attend an asynchronous lesson. Students will send videos of each piece practiced and the teacher will use the student’s lesson time to respond with videos, written feedback, and/or an additional assignment to work on during the upcoming week.

In the event of hazardous weather—including significant snowfall, ice, flooding, dangerous road conditions, severe thunderstorms, or other unsafe conditions— all lessons will be moved online.

Any lessons cancelled by the teacher (due to illness or other emergency situations) will be eligible for a make-up lesson or be credited to the following semester. ​

Students are responsible for purchasing required piano materials. These materials  must be purchased before the first lesson. Additional materials will be communicated to the family as they become necessary.

My studio is located in my home in Oconomowoc, WI. In-home piano lessons are available by request and are subject to scheduling availability. An In-Home Lesson Service Fee will be added in addition to tuition to help offset the costs of travel time, mileage, vehicle operation and maintenance, transportation of teaching materials and equipment, and other expenses associated with providing in-home instruction.
